We are a law firm devoted exclusively to business litigation. Not only do our attorneys have top credentials, but we offer several distinct advantages over our competitors. We do not merely litigate cases and settle. When necessary, we pick juries and win. In an era of spiraling hourly rates, we offer an attractive alternative to our larger competitors. We are hired by clients to handle ‘bet the company’ cases, ones who prefer our focused, cost effective and responsive service. Additionally, we will consider taking cases on full or mixed contingent arrangements.
In 1995, Congress passed the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act (“PSLRA”) designed in part to curtail lawyer-driven securities class actions. One way the PSLRA sought to do so was by presumptively appointing as lead plaintiff the shareholder with the large financial stake – typically large institutional investors – rather than the plaintiff who won the race to the courthouse.
