Eric Carlson is an experienced litigator focusing in the areas of intellectual property, real estate and complex business litigation. Mr. Carlson’s practice includes successfully representing clients in patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret disputes. Mr. Carlson has also handled securities, partnership dissolution, unfair competition, interference with contract and related business tort litigation and arbitration. Mr. Carlson has also drafted several winning appellate briefs, both upholding and overturning lower court judgments.

Mr. Carlson’s intellectual property litigation experience includes high technology patent infringement and licensing matters in the areas of biotechnology, computer printing, graphics, cell phone technology and cinema surround sound technology.

After earning his law degree from UCLA, Mr. Carlson clerked for the Honorable Robert J Kelleher in the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Prior to joining Weingarten Brown, Mr. Carlson was a partner at the law firm of Russ August & Kabat and an associate at Irell & Manella LLP.
